Information

Centipede originally started out as an arcade game before being ported to the Atari 2600. Centipede is a fixed shooter game developed and published by Atari and designed by Dona Bailey and Ed Logg.

The player takes control of the bug buster and is task with taking out the centipedes advancing through a field mushrooms from the top of the screen to the bottom. Being careful not to shoot the middle otherwise the centipede will split in two.

This game was a staple of the golden age of arcades and even being one of the first with a significant female player base.

Centipede was rereleased as Centipede recharged updating it’s graphics and being more accessible for more people.
